Well it's Friday 13th! Anyone like me and a bit wary?
Anyway today's post is a foundation post, which I haven't done in forever.
What does the product claim?
'Enriched with a vitamin complex and cranberry water, the Essence Fresh and Fit Awake Foundation 'wakes up' the skin and gives it a healthy look. The delicate, light reflecting pigments ensure a smooth complexion with a fresh touch. ' (source wilko)
Price
£5.00 30ml
Packaging
For the price feels very luxe, heavy bottle with pump
Shade Range
Awful about three ranges. Shade I have is 10 Ivory
Where to purchase?
Here in the UK our stockholders are Wilko
Application
So to test this foundation I tried my three favourite application methods.
Beauty Blender:
Easy to apply, uses a lot of product (3 pumps), not full coverage but did go patchy. Below is how it looks.
Morphe Brush
Again uses a lot of product, not full coverage, more of a light coverage! Below is how it looks, once applied
LY34 brush:
Again uses a lot of product, hard to blend and not full coverage. Below is the application
Fingers:
Hard to blend again but it dries down a lot quicker using fingers and also uses less product.
Overall Opinion
So overall I don't hate this foundation, I think for the price it is a good product, I will use it all up but I would say my favourite application method is the Beauty Blender. The shade range is awful so something to keep in mind. Overall I wouldn't recommend this product as I think there is better on the market for purse friendly.
